The difference is that crossovers in fortnight work. They fit the style and vibe of the game. When you put Nicky Minaj in cod it looks like a meme mod. I think mtg has been doing the crossover stuff for ages and players have hated it always.
The MTG crossovers just don’t fit at all. It’s not even a crossover. Just creating MTG cards for the universe they are sampling.
It cements the fact that WotC has ran out of ideas and has spent the past several years fucking over its fans and community.
