deserved, they had brutal expectations to live up to but somehow delivered
It was a good game, but near the end I was just ready for it to be over.
I’m in the camp of this being a bad resident evil game, but I still recognize it as a good game.
RE4 was definitely a pivot toward a more action based game than its predecessors. It’s probably my favorite but I still consider the RE2 remake a better game overall. Maybe a perfect game honestly.
Resident evil 2, both versions, was so great.
When the remake game out, I beat it 5x in a row just to play each character first and second and then another time with infinite ammo or whatever it is that’s unlocked.
It’s a great game up until you get to the soldiers part and the following laboratory area. I got to trying to get around those ridiculously difficult flesh monster or whatever in the lab and just quit.
It was a wild pivot from the rest of the game that completely lost my interest.
I completely agree, those flesh monsters were a bit too difficult. I pushed through, but it was like they just wanted to make the game longer for the sake of being longer.
Good to see that the companies will continue to sell their old stuff again and again.
