Why any respectable game would put a video game streamer in their game is beyond me
It’s Hi-Rez
IDK. I found 2020 results, so the content they bought is at least that old. I don’t generally support disabling content, but this is a special circumstance where they didn’t really have a choice.
Expecting a full refund for multiplayer content you had for several years and had real hosting costs seems unrealistic. Fuck the freemium model, fuck microtransactions, etc, but real money refunds this long after the fact are a big ask.
Also for fuck’s sake, why does anyone use title case when it creates this garden-path minefield? This is the opposite of those tweets where every word would’ve been incomprehensible fifteen years before. The game, the dude, and the imaginary ripoff currency all use paper dictionary language, so it would’ve been real helpful to read:
Rogue Company dev pulls all Dr Disrespect content, offers Rogue Buck refunds rather than real money
Charging real money inside a video game was their first abuse.
