The torrent of lies and absurd statements should keep the rest of the world entertained. For most Americans, it’s probably going to be horrifying, tragic and/or embarrassing.

Seems like he is gradually sliding towards being a medieval king or a dictator. In England, that sort of thing was limited in 1215 and the rest of Europe followed in the next centuries. However, Mussolini showed that even in a democratic state it’s always possible to make history repeat itself.
Lucky you, this video is also available on Nebula.
They are essentially saying that they would be happy in a place that does not exist. Doesn’t exclude the possibility that happiness could still be found in a place that does.
Legal Eagle has a video that explains what kinds of things Trump can do without legal consequences.
Seems to me, that if he wants to replicate the events of Tianamen Square on American soil, he can totally do that, and it’s entirely within his legal rights to do so.
Also, check the comments of that video. Chilling stuff.
Turns out, if you kick out all the polish nurses and restaurant workers, you suddenly don’t have enough staff in those places. Who would have thought.
Other than that, everything worked out perfectly. Oh, but then there’s also the Northern Ireland border. Well other than those two issues… actually, there are quite a few issues, but that’s besides the point. It’s been smooth sailing ever since, everyone is happy, it’s never been better.
If NATO fades into oblivion, that would be a great opportunity for European countries to make a news defense organization where a single country like Hungary or Turkey can’t play their political games.
The rise of the NSDAP has been studied quite a bit. Also, the psychological aspects are really interesting. Basically normal people can make all of this possible as long as the conditions are just right.
What’s wrong with picking any of the younger candidates? I imagine it’s a pretty demanding job, so being 30 years younger wouldn’t hurt.
I always think that now I’ve seen it all, and nothing will surprise me any more… Until Trump supporters somehow pull off some bizarre magic and manage to surprise me anyway. I just looked up some of the twitter posts with relevant pictures. I don’t even know what to think of this stuff any more. Maybe I’ve just had too much internet for today.
“By the end of his term, Trump had accumulated 30,573 untruths during his presidency — averaging about 21 erroneous claims a day.”
Anyway, those numbers are kinda impressive… in the saddest way possible… But I don’t think I’ve ever heard of any politician coming even close.
Yep. That’s about the same level of amazing that I used to bump into on a daily basis. So, are we about to have another season of “you never imagined this would happen, but here we are”.
😂 OK, that may as well happen. What’s next? Evil magic zombies wouldn’t surprise me.
Say what now? It’s not even Trump season, and I’m still reading stuff that is so absurd it should be a joke. During Covid times, it was common to read the weirdest things and think: “yeah, that might as well happen”. This time though, I really have to ask if that really did happen.
If you learn Bash, you can do some proper command line magic. If text files are more like your thing, consider looking into Vim.
We need to test this with some sleeping pills and caffeine. Open wide!
TV has proven that people are willing to tolerate an amazing amount of ads too. I wonder if you could crank up the ads to posts ratio to something like 90% and still have enough users.
Things need to be really bad at Reddit before most people would consider leaving. On the other hand, Lemmy would need to be amazingly good to produce the same effect. Neither of these have happened yet, so only few people migrated.
There are lots of places like that. So many, that the number of people randomly visiting them and coming back feeling unwell was not insignificant. That’s why r/eyeBleach was invented. If you need a place like this, it really tells you something about the kinds of subs people never thought would exist.
It’s evidence of me swiping too fast and not reading the text three times before sending.
