imagine if we could actually talk to elephants? if we could, like, teach them concepts?
I will shed happy tears of joy on that day and gladly share with them some of my hooch.

This is my greatest hope for ai. That we could use it to decipher animal languages. Some people are already working on it. I hope it works.
We can already do it on some levels. Takes about an hour to learn what a dog is saying with it’s tail.

An elephant gun?
Hasn’t passed peer review yet but I bet it’s true. If you ever dealt with one of them you really sense that there is something going on behind those eyes. It isn’t just “weird monkeys that boss us around and give treats and baths” it’s something else. Like it is trying to figure out what you are about as a person.
I saw one once and I could almost swear from its eye movements that it figured out which kids there were mine.
“Just like humans” I find that hard to believe
They are all named “BrrrrrRRRRrrr!”
That is pretty cool to see from elephants.
