Fun fact, I recently promoted Lemmy on r/place (it’s the only reason I go on reddit now. Not for place, but to promote Lemmy) and all my comments were removed a few hours after.
Why would I use other platforms?
What’s your end goal here? To import more choosy lurkers?
Yeah, I agree that the people that wanted to come here already did.
This is a yes/no question and thus not open. Also, it’s similar to the recent discussion around /r/place. Removing under rule #4.
You can put a link to Lemmy in your reddit profile.
I’m going to go against the grain here but from time to time I go to my country sub, have a look at people that seem unhappy with Reddit, and post a comment like “Hey, we have that alternative community there, if you want you can give it a try”
Our current Lemmy community is still very small, so I guess that’s fair for now.
I do. But I got ridiculed and downvoted to hell. I hope those are u/spez bots cause if they are real people then that’s really unfortunate.
I actively took part in creating the Lemmy banner on r/place over the past few days.
I know it brings traffic to Reddit, but I don’t really care if the IPO brings them a few more dollars because of my 7 fake accounts.
Nope. I’ve told my close friends about it and I share lemmy links to them sometimes. That’s enough. Just share lemmy links instead of saving images to send. That will make people curious eventually.
No. I don’t care.
I’m happy to be here, even if it’s not part of the New Social Media Renaissance Where Everything Will Be Better.
I’m here for the memes, not the revolution.
