In 2010 or 2011¹, I bought the Kindle Keyboard, in 2014 a paperwhite, and earlier this year I upgraded to a current gen paperwhite (between trade-in of the old one and the Prime Day sale, I only paid 60€), the bigger screen and higher DPI are nice, as is the fresh battery. I love reading, I hate holding heavy books, and normal screens are horrible for reading longer texts.
¹: I can find the warranty replacement Amazon gave me in November 2011 (which also upgraded me from WiFi to 3G because they ran out of Wifi versions), but the first order was before they were available in Germany, so I had to order it from .com or .co.uk neither lists the order for some reason and I can’t find the order confirmation mail.
