Swallow gel packet -> get spitroasted -> blink twice should work

I have no clue what that’s supposed to mean
Honestly, it’s a Western media thing. Pretty much the only mythology most of us English speakers are taught is Greco-Roman. In past decades, efforts to branch out were often shallow. Things are getting better, there’s more stuff coming out drawing from indigenous or African or South Asian mythology or whatever. But it’s taken some time.
Video games have been mostly made by white dudes, after all. They’re exposed to white dude stuff.
Just about every hobby is some kind of money sink. One reason I stopped playing 40k was because of my distaste for how GW insists on only using their materials and how blatantly they just drill people’s wallets.
But that’s not the whole wargaming community! That’s not even the whole 40k community. There’s OnePageRules, for instance, which is a totally free and really good model-agnostic Warhammer ruleset. There are other games like Battletech that are much more accepting of kit-bashes and creative modeling. Lots of historical wargames are very open about that too (as long as you keep it accurate).
And, of course, investing a couple hundred in a decent UV printer both a) provides a whole new way to hobby and b) saves a SHITLOAD long-term.
I started with DnD miniatures when I was quitting drinking. That’s pretty affordable and risk-free for starting out, and a lot of the models out there for like $5 apiece are really decent these days. A basic paint set and some dollar store brushes and you’re good to go.
I’m very passionate about DIY hobbying ;)
I started Warhammer at age 30. Now I’m approaching 40 and looking at guns.
Absolutely! I also do it when feeding a baby, they match your breathing instinctively and it’ll settle them down really well.
I have some tips that could help, if you’re interested. I’ve been meditating pretty much my whole life since I learned it this way. Took a little effort at first but everything fell into place real quickly, and since then it’s just been an internal habit to do throughout my day.
Step 1: Find a comfortable place to sit or recline, preferably facing a blank wall. You don’t need to be in any fancy position or focus on anything in your field of view. Find a position where your entire body is able to comfortably and completely relax, no stabilizing needed.
Step 2: While gazing at the wall comfortably, become mindful of your breath. Don’t worry about like taking super deep regular breaths or anything like that, just breathe normally - but have your focus on that breathing, internally.
Step 3: Other thoughts will compete for your attention. Our brains are super busy, that’s why we’re here. Don’t force them away - that’s a muscle you haven’t really got yet, it would be very difficult. Just acknowledge each thought, decide not to continue with it at that moment, and allow it to drift away by returning your attention to your breath. This can take a while, or a couple tries to get used to doing. Don’t be upset at yourself if it’s hard at first.
Step 4: Once you’re able to acknowledge and release intrusive thoughts, start counting your breath. Try not to do so with “audible” thoughts, but just by being aware that “this is my first breath, this is the second,” etc. When other thoughts derail you and internal speech resumes, repeat Step 3 and restart the count.
If you can do that and make it to ten, you will be meditating.
Tbh I haven’t pirated much in years. Mind PMing me any decent trackers?
Everything can change on a New Year’s Day
War within a breath, it’s land or death!
That vulture came to try and steal your name but now you got a gun
Yeah, this is for the people of the sun!
I’ll always admire what the EZLN achieved for themselves.
I love how often a sample leads me to listen to something I never would have otherwise. There was a torrent floating around that had all the songs Beastie Boys sampled for Paul’s Boutique, it was fantastic.
Huge amounts of English vocabulary came to us through French. English shares structure with Germanic languages, and retains some vocabulary, but a lot of what remains is considered the “vulgar” term for a thing, while the Romance-root word is the “proper” one. Largely thanks to the Norman conquest if I recall. French was the court language.
If I’m misremembering I’m sure someone will correct me. It’s been 20+ years since I took Latin 😂
This is also why, to me, rapidly spoken natural Spanish and Japanese sound oddly similar if I hear it out of “the corner” of my ear, so to speak.
Which is funny cause I kinda speak Spanish lol
Take those write-offs where you can, I get it
It was, I’ll give it that. You never forget your first FUS RO DA
Maybe they’re more like skeletons than zombies, who’s to say they’re infectious?
I love this! That style has always appealed to me, it reminds me of the stuff we send on probes in case aliens find it. Do you do more / have a shop? PM me if needed
I remember when Skyrim came out I was living in a drafty house with no heat in a snowy winter. I was wrapped in like 5 layers sitting at my PC going “Why couldn’t this have been in a desert” lol
I totally missed the “remastered” part and kept going “Why does this look like a ps1 game” lol
I’ll take it
