The Star Trek version of throwing a hot dog down a hallway
Oh good, because if there’s one thing Star Trek needs it’s another origin story /s
and likened the tone to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
Oh good, a light-hearted romp where half the characters act like idiots, that’s exactly what a Star Trek movie about a clandestine blackops organization should be like
Where are all the “build a wall” and “they take our jobs” screamers now?
One thing to note, pihole also blocks ads in you’re using wifi from your phone. If I’m playing a game or whatever that has “watch this ad for…” half the time I have to switch off wifi or else it’ll claim the ad failed and won’t give the item.
I’ve said it in other threads, but these “free” anti-virus software packages are there to use scare tactics to get you to upgrade to paid versions and other products. I used avast, and avg in previous PCs and every other day it was popups
It also gives people a sense of deep satisfaction believing they know some dark hidden secret nobody else does… regardless of how absurd it is
It’s something you can only believe if you refuse to actually spend more than 5 seconds looking into it.
You hit the nail right on the head there. They seem to confusecritical thinking with reading a conspiracy theory and immediately accepting it as fact
Our CIO who recently retired was often famous for justifying low/no raises or bonuses by saying “Well, money isn’t everything” and yet still buying an airplane to casually fly
One thing I’ve found is it’s good at blocking ads via mobile gaming. The downside is if those ads return rewards in-game.
There was a demo for a music video maybe 10 years ago, Day Day - Backseat, the video seems to have since been scrubbed from the internet and the best I could find was a thumbnail. The only things I can remember about it are the lyrics went something like “if your driver needs a rider…then you put it in my backseat” (yes, its about exactly what you think) and the guy singing it looked like a cross between Geordi LaForge an Lady Gaga.
They outright said in DS9 that it was supposed to be a fleet or swarm. The idea was that a large number of Defiant Class ships would attack. With how fast and maneuverable they are they wouldn’t be large sitting ducks like Nebula, Galaxay or Excelsior classes.
I haven’t watched past S2 of Lower Decks, but if you like slapstick humor busting at the seems with fanservice and callbacks then you might like it.
I’m definitely curious to see how it ties into the ST:Resurgence comic from last year! Plus the cameos!
