Maybe once every two or three years I get in the mood for circus peanuts. I eat maybe five of them, horribly regret every decision in my life that has led to me purchasing this bag, then vowing to never touch them again.
each line of code is transmitted over a bandwidth that only supports 1/2 a bit, and it takes 3.5 years to reach the Voyager
Should have had a point like

Bro just watching fucking let’s plays of A:I was enough to break my nerve. I wouldn’t play a game like that, because I know it would reduce me to a plate of spaghetti. I don’t know how people tank games like that.
Sometimes come the mother. Sometimes come the wolf.
I think a problem here is that technological advancement and technological progress are not necessarily the same thing. I don’t think that every new piece of technology that pushes us further into some kind of strange new world necessarily is good for humanity, or society, or even just the individual. I think this is some of what you’re noting in your post here. Sure, on the whole the internet has probably been a net positive for Humanity, but one can’t deny that at the same time there are a lot of strikingly negative aspects of the internet, and that it’s further and seemingly endless encroachment on our lives is deleterious.
I think that as I’ve gotten older I’ve become a bit more technology averse, or at the least a bit more suspicious of technology, than I used to be as a child, and maybe part of that is becoming a father, but at the very least I can respect where you’re coming from and I agree with you. It seems like our world is just a never-ending carousel of novelty and we’re never allowed to just absorb and respect the things that we have before something new comes in and shifts the paradigm.

That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing
That would be interesting if liverworts contained them too. They’re very very unrelated to the hemp family, and in fact they’re not really closely related to any flowering plant families, but I’m not saying that to say that you’re wrong, I’ve actually never looked into that before. I just think it’d be interesting if cannabinoids developed in liverworts, because that would imply that those compounds evolved independently.
totally different plant
But it’s literally in Cannabaceae, the same family that contains Marijuana (as well as the Hackberry tree). It makes sense that similar compounds would arise in related species, as that is how phytochemistry works. I’m sure cannabinoids are in the foliage of hackberry trees, too.
They are acting like they found cannabinoids in, like, a grass or something.
What kind of things would we be gaining efficency for? Markdown? It seems graphically to be a very spartan program. If I’m only writing text, what value would I gain from learning vim versus a graphical text editor that incorporates markdown and page design?
To add to your line of query, what if I don’t give a shit about writing code and I just use Linux as a casual laptop user? I’ve never looked at vim or emacs, I use Kate and OnlyOffice

They seem to hold a lot of water!
I gotta sic syncthing on one of my old laptops running a crusty out of date Windows version and once it’s all backed up I’m going to install this on it, I’m excited to try it out! I have not personally tried a RHE distro before so it will be interesting to experience.
