Honestly, a massive one for me is not letting myself get angry at a game I can’t hope to understand or master at a highly competitive level. I do a lot better at recognizing these days when I am intellectually or physically incapable of getting better quickly at a game - my mind shifts these activities outside of a competitive mindset and more to a leisure mindset.
When I’m not trying to actively compete against others to a point of pride, suddenly I’m a lot more receptive to incremental growth at my own pace
The US - with obvious exceptions, photos of students can be designated by a district as directory information (which many do, hence opt outs being common)
It’s opt-out in a lot of districts now
I lurk but Reddit is completely dead to me. I haven’t used it more than once or twice since the API change

Absolutely, by necessity. Can’t really take it for granted that being a lurker won’t overall impact the site. Unfortunately, my usual subs that I participate in haven’t yet made the leap of faith, so its hard to provide quality contribution until that improves
Currently full time lurking on Lemmy. I have only used Reddit when there is absolutely no analogue for my issue (in this case, used fightsticks for FGC titles)

This is a very elegant solution, but unfortunately it’s a productive use of our tax dollars so we’ll never do that here in the U.S.
