As someone who loves Jackfruit, i think the actual fruit bulb of one is much too sweet for a pizza topping.

What you are talking about is actually a byproduct of the fruit which is called the rags. Which can be cooked and eaten, as well as the seeds. Although in my opinion the seeds are much tastier than the rags, just boil them till soft. get yourself a fresh jackfruit and try it.

I think it’s great that we can find ways to eat more parts of the jackfruit, but the fact that most Americans think that jackfruit is just the rags and not the actual fruit means that they never had a fresh one and instead fell for a marketing ploy.

Didn’t know that the dreamcast version was superior. I’ll have to check that out.

I could be wrong but I don’t think that the decomp/recomp tools are available for Dreamcast the way they are for n64. Like if I want a game to run natively on Linux without an emulator whike doing things like raytracing then it seems like the n64 games would be where I’d have to start.

Unless there are decomp/recomp tools for the dreamcast?

How easy is it to decomp these games? I really want to play Star Wars Episode I: Racer on Linux with raytracing and all that.

WSL is the only way I’ll use Windows for work.

For Android, NewPipe is great. I think I prefer FreeTube now however. Mostly because of the ability to use the Invidious api, built in SponsorBlock, settings coss-compatibility with the desktop version, and a better way to organize and export data (IMO). However, freetube android does has a few rough spots that newpipe doesn’t have, so ymmv.

I really like simplex but there should be a way to easily migrate accounts to another device or add devices on an account.

The last time I tried it, I had to set up different accounts for each device I use to communicate which is less than ideal.

A lot if what we as a society have settled on is also because of economy at scale logic. There are many things that are delicious but won’t keep well outside of a small window in specific conditions. Or have less yeild than common alternatives. And sadly many clients simply don’t want to try new things.

I suggest for anyone that can, try your hand at fermentation, especially if you have room for a garden. There is so much you can do from making your own koji to lacto-fermenting Nasturtium berries. There are many new flavours for you to discover and share with friends.

Another idea is to learn more about local foraging and seeking out local Mycological societies to learn about mushrooms in your area.

I’d argue it’s better to use actual alternatives. Half of the issue with free and open source software is that it’s userbase is too small. If more people used it, it could actually improve in many ways.

Lets take gaming on Linux as an example. The userbase on steam is somewhere around 5%. So there is almost no incentive for developers to make games that run nativly on Linux. Its actually easier to run the games in a compatibility layer then to get a Linux port of a game. And although wine and proton work incredibly well, sometimes even running a game better than on windows; a Linux native version of every game would be ideal. Which will never happen with such a small userbase.

Next you have the terrible business practices of these companies. Even if you use the pirated versions. You are in their ecosystem and their community. You increase their profitability and their stock price simply by continuing the industry standard.

Pirated versions of software like this is excusable if you need it for work or sometihing. But imagine if instead of staying with the status quo, you use and help improve actual free and open source alternatives. Versons of software that don’t steal your data or monetize how you use it by selling your input to others or stealing it for “AI” datasets.

Imagine using free and open source software that gives you feedom because your data stays on your devices, your creations belong to only yourself or who ypu choose to share it with, and you work with others to improve it; even if it’s by just submitting bug reports. Imagine using something like that which you find so altruisticly beneficial that instead of pirating the software that has no respect for you, you donate money to the devs of free and open source software. Yes, I’m a pirate. But I do donate money to the right causes and something that protects my freedom is worth both my time and my money.

I’ve played this a lot with my daughter and while it has some great moments, the actual Lego building in this game is really wonky with a controller. It’s a bit easier with a keyboard and mouse bit it’s still leaves something to be desired.

The rest of the game is great though.

I’m playing on Linux, endeavorOS, X11, latest proton-ge with raytracing at 4k and I’m getting a solid 45 minimum fps. I don’t experience any issues.
