Wow real Nobel laureate take there.
Wow real Nobel laureate take there.
Nobody wants to see anybody die. All life is precious, all life is mournable. But like, c’mon the Gaza Strip doesn’t have any moral high ground. I’m with you this is horrific. But the situation is an absolute cluster fuck of human rights violations. The only way to speak on the situation with any accuracy is to write a tiny dissertation of qualifiers first. Like any hot take on the Gaza Strip should be 200 words minimum.
I mean you can zoom-in on any event and make a moral judgement. Like people say Hiroshima was objectively wrong…but also like ww2 wasn’t ending, future casualties, etc, etc. Every event has a broader context. (I get it might not play as well on social media where little nuggets of altruism get the most traction). It’s not an excuse, people do need to zoom in on one event sometimes. But like the Gaza Strip is definitely not an easy moral slam dunk.
I think looking at the broader picture of Israel’s apartheid policies is necessary.
I first read this as an executive was arrested–not that five were arrested. Jfk Ubisoft.
Inflation. It’s caused by printing money—full stop. “Economic easing” is a euphemism for it. It’s very easy to understand: adding money to the supply reduces the value of the existing supply. Fucking nerds in Wow understand this better than most people.
Yet everyday some bi-partisan Econ Professor is paid a small dump truck of (probably printed) money to confuse this very simple issue. Why?
It’s absolutely exhausted to ask someone “why can’t we just print more money” —because inflation. “So printing money causes inflation?” —no. ???
Kinda no where hopefully. Because the final form of Reddit is just anger. No matter the subject or view. Lemmee has that nice drop by but go home too vibe that is perfect.
SAG is going be in for a shock when they realize movie executives are kittens compared to a gaming exec.
Wtf are these companies doing. Soda manufacturer’s are at the top in revenue generation and at the bottom in risk. They print liquid money. It’s just moronic to risk the horrid PR of looking like you’re sponsoring a kleptocratic war mongering nation (like the Ukraine just accused you of).
Because I’m still waiting until more Redditors ruin this site too. I feel like I’m freaking Agent Smith lecturing Morpheus on why human beings are a virus.
That ML is just a paradigm and won’t do much of what people believe it eventually will.
Great a source I consistently use for bettering myself isn’t commodified enough. Can’t wait to pay Johnny no amount is enough for the privilege of learning.
That Kevin just has an overactive kid imagination. I believe he’s the film’s storyteller/narrator and that the dad finding the tooth at the end is a 4th wall break by him to—wink, wink—it was all a lie.
“A Kite in the Wind” has been pretty great for helping learn to write. I work as a storyboard artist and I’m trying to develop my own stuff, but I struggle with the writing part. This book helped, especially the first two essays. Remarkably practical advice; stuff you just don’t hear anywhere else.

Hey thank you for this reply, learned something (man this would just never happen on Reddit).
These sort of junk predictions only fuel anti-climate debates. I feel like I just read a population bomb story from the 1980’s.
Rape is horrific—so is everything in the Gaza Strip (people also like died). Amnesty international has an entire page dedicated to the Gaza Strip.
