A “good” thing from a bad thing: my 6 year old computer monitor decided to croak today. As it’s currently black friday deals, I managed to order a new one fairly cheap-o.

My only regret is that I have… boneitis.
Feel this one in my bones.
We’re already seeing games coming out which have a soft requirement for DLLS or FSR simply due to how incredibly unoptimized they are.
Awesome! If I can ever afford a card with frame generation, that is. Looking increasingly unlikely though.
Looks at the heap of empty cans on the desk
Wabi-Sabi it is!
Been trying to meditate unsuccessfully for years now. At this point the frustration of always failing isn’t even worth trying anymore but I still do in the vain hopes that “one day it will finally click”. I mean, that’s easier to accept than the more probable possibility that I’m just a fundamentally broken human who can’t even get basic functioning right.
Something tells me this day will eventually live in greater infamy than 9/11.
Like in 2230, provided there is still something resembling the human race, “9/11” will be just another boring date to memorize together with shit like the Alamo w/e.
The day the republic fell, however, will be a lot more recognizable and memorable.
248 years. Empires “always” last around ~250 (Let’s ignore the Romans for now) so we’re exactly on time.
Wanna bet he’ll put up one of his kids (hell perhaps even Barron?) and bend the whole sycophantic side of the GOP into endlesdly propping them up?
In 4 years, you may simply get Trump III. I want to say this notion seems absurd, except that it absolutely isn’t.
Let me put it this way: we will see the true beginning of WW3 in the Baltics. Trump will predictably not act upon that and the response will be 100% up to Europe itself.
That response better be an armed one, and quick too, or we all better start practicing cyrillic here in W-europe.
Regardless if we are lucky, “only” tens of thousands will die. More likely it will be millions.
So yeah, Trump kinda bedazzled us there, no way around it. Won’t be until the people who voted him in will start hurting personally that they’ll finally realize they’ve been conned. But too little too late.
That’s the way we got one of ours back in the day. I was on an evening walk with my then-gf, we came across a very friendly kitty, gave her some pets, and went on to go home. She followed, entered the house, went right to the litter box, did her thing, and promptly decided she’d live there for the rest of her life. Fucking cats man. Love 'em to death.
I used to run VM’s in parallel for my job, which eat RAM like candy. Other than that though, I’ve never had a use case for more than 32GB RAM.
You’re not far off the mark. One tomcat I had once brought with him a new cat, a girl I hadn’t seen before. He shared his food with her and now she lives here as well.
The mark of the beast was fiat money and we’ve been using it for a while.
There’s no better way to stifle a discussion than to see there’s 10k+ replies already. Pissing in an ocean of piss.
Of course it does. The majority of advertising works this way.
I wouldn’t bother. People who arrive at any opinion without using logic can’t be reasoned out of that opinion using logic. It’s an emotional thing.
“Rich people’s yacht money.”
Just replace 99,9% of instances containing “the economy” and substitute. Makes a lot of things click.
Ugh, that site has phone cancer.
