Fair enough, seems to be a legitimate enough study.

Do you have a source for that? I’m skeptical.
That doesn’t really help unless the bag is also soundproof; it could just as easily store what you say and send it off later.
What about fishing boats? They’re coming back with a ton of extra weight in fish.
That’s basically a space elevator (though space elevators are shorter and held up by centripetal forces). Unfortunately they’re quite outside our technological capabilities at the moment.
Recreational purposes, like… having fun? How dare I play an older video game for free! I need to be constantly giving money to huge companies for increasingly terrible games! Won’t someone please think of the quarterly numbers!
I think a two disk dual boot is safe. I’ve had that setup for a while and Windows hasn’t broken anything yet (though I only use it maybe once a month).
Yeah I’ve definitely been caught off guard by the different sellers selling identical products before. Check the URL and see if the ID is the same, it probably won’t be.
Well don’t waste the opportunity, go check out their raid farm!
Technically speaking, no. The mantle, which is solid, comprises about 2/3 of the Earth’s mass. However at a planetary scale solids are not rigid enough to maintain their shape, so the Earth is closer to a liquid held together by gravity than to a rigid solid object. See this simulation for an interesting demonstration of its properties: https://youtu.be/kRlhlCWplqk
Can they do that? I thought all two letter TLDs were reserved for ccTLDs only. It’ll be interesting to see how things play out.
Remove those cursed half circles and you’ve got yourself a nice annular solar eclipse!
At that point it might be better to just have a designated anime, Linux, and politics day (or two).
I went there a while back, and I’ll second the great tour. It’s awesome that they actually maintain the elevator and let people go down. It’s a pretty cool experience, though not for the claustrophobic. Never knew about the microbes, that’s really interesting!
Also make sure you have file extensions enabled in Explorer, it makes it waaay harder for something like this to work.
usually
So you’re saying there’s a chance?
The cheeky option:
tar -h
Or is it tar --help
? Oh no…
I see images, audio, or video files distributed in zips far too often. You’re getting maybe a percent of compression if you’re lucky; just distribute the raw files or use a non-compressed bundle format like tar.
One word: Linux.
Valve’s contributions have singlehandedly revolutionized the Linux gaming scene. They’re the only reason I can play most of the games I own. I don’t worship them, exactly, but I do think very highly of them.
Better to learn something new than to stay in a hole of ignorance because I can’t accept I’m wrong.
