I don’t think they have become the most popular thing on Lemmy. But there exist communities for crypto currency. Just use the search function and search on all federated instances :)

I only use reddit when looking at the current blackout and api situation. I am also sharing the word of lemmy and the fediverse to users who don’t know what it is. But i no longer browse trough reddit, only on lemmy. Nore specificslly the jerboa app on Android.

You can probabaly use element.io or some other matrix chat apps. Those are pretty “anonymus” if you want it to be. Or you can use signal.
