That would be an even more interesting solution for finding new gun-designs for mass-manufacture. Kalashnikov, Winchester, Glock, and Colt watch out!

It won’t solve everything but exercise and eating right can go a long way to ensure you’re not antagonizing what I am assuming is your clinical depression that I suspect is what you are in treatment for.
The dealing with “everything” -you could try to find what specific issues are most important to you. Find out what you can do about them locally and participate in doing that perhaps through volunteering or otherwise. -That’s what I try to do. Volunteering keeps my mind occupied and engaged in a healthier manner than doom-scrolling. It also makes me feel like I’m contributing to a solution (limited though it may be.) It’s also good to figure out and try to accept that which may be beyond your control, but I don’t want to overstep.
In my 36yr life it isn’t any greater or lesser of a concern than it has been before, though I’m quick to think of the euphamism-treadmill as being constantly turning.
—To me It seems like sexuality is easy-pickings for politicians that don’t want to write legislation that benefits the lower-classes. It’s a big part of the “circuses” metaphor in the phrase “bread and circuses.”
When I first transitioned away from Windows. Linux was admittedly a little less stable and reliable but unlike windows, there was a well documented solution pathway to almost every Linux problem I encountered, whereas Windows solutions always amounted to recommending uninstalling/reinstalling hardware in the Device Manager and rebooting the computer. I remember a few times that windows updates completely crashed my install and I had to roll-back to an earlier version or even do a repair/reinstall from disc -The documented Windows solutions (aside from the reinstall) rarely worked. Now it’s 20 years later and I rarely have reliability issues with Linux aside from my one hardware failure -but that’s not a Linux-specific issue.
Basic economics dictates that recycling plastic isn’t profitable otherwise industry would be doing it, itself. –That doesn’t make it a scam. It’s more like bad marketing.
Some of it will be truly recycled like with hdpe. Some will be used more conscientiously by being sent for plasma gasification. Lots of it will still get sent to the landfill, but that’s better then sending all of it. Something rarely mentioned is that most plastics become less stable each time they’re melted down, making them increasingly difficult to recycle.
It’s believed that ~75% of all Aluminium that has ever been produced is still in use because it’s economically more viable to recycle old aluminum than refine new. Alumium refinement is a highly energy intensive process.
LiGNUx, VLC, Firefox w/Ublock, KDE Connect, Dolphin, Kate, KDE. Vim, i3wm, Keepasses, yt-dlp, deluge, freecad, librecad, slic3r/cura. Some of these are clearly redundant or overlap. My use cases vary
Non-foss: Steam library.
I wouldn’t spend so much time on the PC if I had to pay a premium for every little thing much like I’ve experienced with my arts-related hobbies.
I see. Thanks for the explanation.
I admit I’m biased towards C-languages out of sheer personal preference and limited exposure to Rust but I am wondering, are there any major technical barriers to Rust replacing these languages in it’s current form anymore?
I know there has been a lot of movement towards supporting Rust in the last 6 years since I’ve become aware of it, but I also get flashbacks from the the early 00’s when I would hear about how Java was destined to replace C++, and the early 2010’s when Python was destined to replace everything only to realize that the hype fundamentally misunderstood the use case limitations of the various languages.
Businesses have more money than individual citizens. You will get what you want from the U.S. government and local government when we get money out of politics -Full-stop.

I have a hardware malfunction with my secondary hard drive. Every once in the while it locks itself into read-only mode and corrupts a log file that crashes my system. My solution is to reboot Fn + Alt + Sysrq + ‘b’ and periodically delete the log files that exacerbate the issue. I need to replace the drive but that requires money and a backup solution, neither of which i currently have. It’s been an ongoing issue for at least 4 years now.
In business and politics “malice” and “stupidity/incompetence” are one and the same.
I know that used to be the case. It’s why I stopped trying to use a dual-booting system and instead just installed windows in Virtualbox.
I act local, think global. I also accept that it’s largely beyond my control, so there is no point in being that upset about it. It’s not like I will be having kids to worry about in the future, either.
I had a counselor once tell me that “motivation typically comes from doing.” I guess most people say “motivation” when they mean “inspiration”
So what does “getting motivated in the morning” mean to you? What does that look like?
To me It looks like a nightly routine of positive self-talk while visualizing myself getting up the next morning to carry out my planned agenda as I first close my eyes. ‐I have more success at getting out of bed when I have already established a firm idea of what I’m getting up for.
Whoa, toxic post much. I didn’t downvote you, I’ll show you buy giving you a second downvote on your initial post instead of this one as a demonstration.
It’s not so bad, they were in there 50’s-60’s, my grandmother was a shut-in and they had multiple grand-kids born throughout the 80’s
Peach, plum, cherry, apricot, pluot… and it goes on extensively. There are lots of different stonefruits out there all with very different flavors.
Tangentially related there’s an artist that has been trying to make a tree with the most diverse number of storefruit producing branches grafted onto it.
