I stand corrected! I’m glad to be wrong about this one. Hard not to be cynical these days and it’s easy to assume ulterior motlves.

Can you explain it to me? I’m just repeating what I’ve been told and I’m not a financial person.
Edit: nvm, I just read the other responders links.
Edit: I’ve been corrected in the comments. Happy to be wrong about this so thanks to the correctors.
Charitable donations can be written off on the businesses taxes, so by having customers pay for the donations it means the company gets to double dip. They write it off and the customer reimburses them for it.
Moral of the story: don’t donate to corporations. Give it directly to a charity.
This guy’s name is dollar bill?
Hopefully it stays that way. I’ve read horror stories about buildings hiring HOA management companies out of nowhere who take over and turn things shitty. 😔
Damn you aren’t kidding! It’s written weirdly past tense, too, for an article talking about a brand new game. “It became a cultural phenomenon”.
So many people shaming OP in here 😅
They never said they eat it all the time. Calm down everyone; let them enjoy themselves.
Some platforms offer better prices in exchange for a one-year subscription commitment, but tiered discounts based on subscriber loyalty are much less common.
It’s literally the opposite most of the time. The longer you stay the more expensive it becomes.
This has been bothering me too. Its such a nothing statement with no suggestion of how this would be accomplished behind it. Like sure, technology is likely to continue advancing, but it may not even resemble these current implementations by the time we get there.
This guy’s entire argument playbook seems to be “I know you are, but what am I?”
I never learned typing using any method, just years of practicing writing when I was younger. I think one of the biggest things that will increase your competence is to not look at the keyboard. Force your eyes away and just try to type. This will have more results if you’ve already gotten the basic key layout down at least a bit. You’ll make a lot of mistakes, and when you do try to not look, just move your finger to the next key over and try again. It’s a bit painful to do it this way, but it will make you much more comfortable over time.
Why let the model go to waste?
I absolutely love online lunatics like this (and also they have way too much time on their hands 😅). Gaming wouldn’t be the same without 'em.
Absolutely. And I believe we can both laugh at the stupidity of the leadership while feeling sympathy for the devs who were just doing their job (likely thanklessly). It doesn’t need to be picking a side.
Very true. It sounds like a project from hell honestly.
I always feel bad for the devs with these situations. I’m sure there’s so much art and effort put into this game even if it sucked, and those people who made it now don’t even get to show it off in action. Even if the final result sucked, it still sucks for those people who worked hard on elements of it.
I think having multiple things change with difficulty is good just as you say. I was focusing only on raising health because that was the joke in the comic.
Totally. It’s a hard problem of course. Everyone wants an experience that’s right at their personal edge, but that’s different for every player.
I hate bullet sponges, but I do think this joke gets too reductive for my taste. There are many games where enemies die so fast on easy mode that you don’t get to experience whatever mechanics they have. By increasing health it can have the impact of revealing those mechanics that already existed.
It has to be a reasonable increase that doesn’t turn into a slog though.
So many people on the comments of that video saying it fucked them up as a kid 😆
