Yeah this just feels like government approved passive aggression.

I can’t tell if this is just a silly joke or an astute observation of depression.
Who looks more ridiculous? The monkey that paid a stupid amount of money for a delicious treat they couldn’t have gotten at home, or the monkey that paid a stupid amount of money for someone else to peel a regular ass banana for them? It’s a pretty basic “don’t throw stones in glass houses” analogy.
I disagree. There are still tons of games available that are amazing and aren’t developed by companies that enable shitty behavior and decision making, but you definitely have to shift through the chaff to find them.
Hot shit it’s not often you see a frontpage cross reference on Lemmy!
Another fun fact about the game is it has a surprisingly robust audio system built in. I had a clan member who could pinpoint exactly where an enemy was on certain maps (pipeline I think?) just by the sound their footsteps were making and the direction/proximity to his location.
Also, shout-out to all the boys out there that did the precision m203 artillery bombing on bridge! I remember getting good enough to hit each of the individual cover posts. I spent so much time playing this game.
I haven’t pieced out why yet but I have recently realized that phone calls are a huge anxiety trigger for me.
I had no idea Guild Wars was still releasing content. The first game was my first big boy MMO and I have so many fond memories.
You’re not wrong but there is such a huge cost of entry for even a decent speaker set up.
Are you drawing a conclusion from this?
You’re not wrong. The mass proliferation of listacles with the same 5 advertised products stamped behind a novella of filler to appease SEO algorithms has been increasingly problematic for at least 10 years now. The issue has only been compounded with the flood of “AI” generated content and deceptive ads. I almost prefer when every website had sidebars full of blatant advertisements. Sure they were ever present, but they weren’t trying to literally trick you into buying something.
Yeah apparently being white and having a beard with a hint of unfortunate RBF is enough to signal racist around here. The toughest part is when it’s coming from your professional superiors.
Here’s the thing: you’re right to feel that way depending on your surroundings. I work in construction in Texas (and kinda look the part) and it is astonishing how many people are willing to buy into bullshit, and expect you to do the same, because that’s what everyone else does. Finding another family that isn’t gargling right wing propaganda, “god-fearing”, or just one brand of asshole is so difficult around here.
Since our children were born we have been increasingly intolerant of all that nonsense. This has unfortunately led to our support system dwindling away because we aren’t willing to compromise on the morale standards we want our kids exposed to.
Since they started blocking VPN traffic I would love it if people stopped hosting images on imgur.
Lol fuck off.
It’s important that the discourse is visible and thoughtfully debated (as possible).
I had to go back to my feed and check but I actually get very little in the way of meme posts. That may be the way I have my feed filtered though. I would welcome quality memes, but I also may be starting to age out of what is being created at this point
What I wanted was the social experience of chatting with people about games. I don’t care about (as a random example) the latest Helldivers 2 patch notes.
Please yes this. It’s good to see gaming related news but largely I just want to nerd out about the games themselves. Of course I should be told to just post my own damn content, but I have admittedly never been good about creating OC.
Yeah, it’s contextually appropriate most of the time. I doubt there are many American users posting American politically specific ideas on posts about non-american politics.
The only real validity to this complaint would be an overabundance of posts regarding American politics; to which I would say, down vote those and post your own. I, for one, promise not to be upset.
Socks don’t move of their own accord.
