Forced abductions of politicians and journalists, threatening peoples families with physical and sexual violence and forcing/buying judges to disqualify and reject nomination papers for election. These elections are set to compete with 1965 general elections which were rigged beyond belief to ensure a win for military backed Ayub Khan. They tried to do the same in the 1970 general elections, and even though they initially didn’t succeed, they didn’t let the winning majority party to form the government by illegal arrests and violence and forcefully dismantling them, which resulted in riots and eventually allowed East Pakistan, aka Bangladesh to get independence from Pakistan.
