Wired isn’t a shopping site?
Wired isn’t a shopping site?
They did say “creatively”.
It will be a buggy POS at launch, and cheating in the online mode will be rampant, but…
There are so many flaws with your take I don’t even know how to reply.
I will just say that:
$3,500 is not a price that only rich people can afford, at least in the US. Many middle class folks can afford it with ease.
It isn’t Apple’s fault that YouTube has ads. That is Google’s doing. Apple themselves are privacy focused and I never see targeted ads on any Apple app. The only places I even see ads are in the app store and in the TV app, and the TV ads are limited to promos of upcoming shows or movies.
People are constantly bashing Apple for their premium prices and walled garden while forgetting that nobody is targeting the folks who want a privacy oriented experience without ads blasting everywhere.
I switched to iOS because I got tired of Google watching my every move and I got tired of worrying if every app I download from google’s app store has malware or not.
Is it easy to get a copy of their dataset?
There are hosting providers that offer unmetered bandwidth.
Sure, setup complexity is higher, but it is definitely doable.
I have thought about such a project as I also have access to relatively inexpensive 20gbps fiber, but lack the funding currently to do it.
Maybe one day…
Wayland works with NVIDIA cards though.
No we didn’t. I happily left reddit the day Apollo stopped. They also lost my premium subscription.
I also stopped Twitter when musk took over. I use Bluesky or Mastodon and find both platforms to be superior.
Sure, some folks may have, but many of us have not. Does that matter to Reddit? probably not. Do I care? not really.
Modern Reddit is unusable, and old reddit isn’t mobile friendly.
This. Lots of health plans don’t even have copays anymore thanks to COVID.
For me, things were pretty easy/quick to set up, and the benefit? Lower electric bills. More convenience.
They make you use the app to get the advertised features. Hyundai/Kia are terrible about this.
Oh and the entire implementation is half-assed. I bought my Hyundai used and can’t even use the paid features because they won’t transfer the account to me.
I actually like Hyundai, but I will never again purchase one of their vehicles because of subscriptions and what I mentioned above.
Are you in the US? Are you insured? You need to find another therapist. Since the pandemic, many insurance companies have improved services in this area. For example, mine eliminated copays and doubled the number of allowed visits. They also brought on a bunch of additional therapists.
Not really. The example listed above is perfectly readable.
Knowing the versions of webkit, browser version, etc. is important due to inconsistencies, new features, mossing features, and deprecated features. Sure it can be faked, but that is on the end user.
In addition to what others have stated, many casinos have both minimums and caps on maximum bets. This means that you can only do this so many times. You WILL eventually lose it all.
I managed to do this once with an electronic machine and made money once because it had a minimum bet of $1.00, no maximum, and apparently wasn’t rigged. I made high 4 figures before I got bored. The next time I came in, the minimum was upped, a maximum was added, and the game was clearly changed to favor the house.
You think anticheat will stop this? lol
My keyboard has macros. No PC software required except to create/modify.
With little effort you can also turn a raspberry pi into a programmable input device. There are also HDMI to USB dongles that capture video if you need to capture/process frames. I own one.
All Riot is doing is making the cheats (if they even exist for LoL) stealthier.
This has nothing to do with cheating. They got tired of support requests coming in. If that wasn’t the case they would have had a solution for Steam Deck/Linux users to go with the announcement.
Both Come and Pepsi doubled - tripled their prices in the time between 2020 and 2023.
In 2019 (in my area) you could get a 2 liter of soda for $0.79-$1.00. Non-sale price was $1.49. A 12 pack of cans was $2-$2.50 on sale with a none-sale price of $4.
2 liters now are “on sale” for $2-$3 each and non-sale price is $3-$3.50.
Cans sale price is $4 at minimum and non-sale price is $7.99–8.99 depending on the store.
I have significantly cut back on my diet soda intake as a result, so i guess there is that?
To put another way, in the best of times in 2019 I could buy a 5x12 pack of cans for $10. Today I would have to pay $20-$45 for the exact same product depending on if it was on sale or not.
When our economy finally falters, these companies will be the first to scream for bailouts and other nonsense.
Like dude, just go back to pre-pandemic pricing.
Uh, what about Pixelfed?
The pi5 couldn’t keep up for me. How do you avoid transcoding?
Have you seen AirBnB pricing and some of the policies/fees the owners of properties have implemented? Cheaper to buy a camper.
(OP implied it was for some reason)
