Still no Wayland support for Budgie. That is really the only reason I used Solus in the past. As a rolling distro Arch is still king.

I genuinely didn’t know about this. I’ve been avoiding immutable OSes as I’ve had issues with distros like Bazzite in the past where packages completely disappeared from my system after a freeze when overclocking my GPU,which ruined the whole experience for me.
However, I’m interested in blend os,which unfortunately comes with gnome by default, but I will give it another try with layering plasma on it next time I try it,cause the idea of a distrobox centric distro is really appealing.
End rant.
Thanks for sharing this.
I could never get that to work for some of my devices,so I had to use virtualbox, which works very well.
“Legitimate interest”
Very very nice work. Thanks for your effort and willingness to experiment with new stuff. i would definitely be interested in trying it out once it reaches “production”.
That goes without saying. Siesta is sacred!
I didn’t get that notification yet,but when I do,l’ll be sure as shit to donate as large amount as I can afford.
Edit: I know I can and have donated already, but just to highlight the idea
If it makes you feel any better,over here,in Spain , I get 09:00 AM - 11 PM delivery intervals,with deliveries sometimes arriving at 10:30 PM,so yeah…
That FreeBSD club looks pretty good. There’s a niche for every niche.
Thanks for sharing this. I will install hyperland.
This is a sensible recommendation. Even though I despise windows and Asus has support issues historically ( very lame ones even), the hardware itself is very good and any Linux distro can be easily flashed.
I wouldn’t dismiss the handheld based on a windows review really ( hint : windows will forever suck).
For that they can buy an android for 150$. If they expected protection from Apple, that’s on them.
Buy a cheap android burner and profit from side loading and alternative app stores. Simple, yes?
Same here. Ir’s very bloated. You can decide on what to install, but if you do install all that bloat, you need to be prepared. I tried their AMD GPU overclock tool and after a got a black screen, I ended up with missing packages. Immediately went back to Arch.
Edit:words
VSCodium is cool though. All the goodness of VSC,sans the “trash”.
In my head it’s infuriating just cause it’s showing the cold harsh truth about the world. Humanitarian aid is still a thing. I hope…
Could be less or more infuriating, depending on perspective.
X4’s linux support is such a good thing to have. The engine does struggle with interrupts like overlays or native OS dialogs. It refreshes everything, each time, but it’s a small con.
Buying windows is like self flagellation. You have to be a masochist to enjoy it,especially the apologetic users.
You can try CachyOs. Arch base with modern packages compiled and built for more recent cpus.
Also, rather easy to maintain and very fast.
like and subscribe!
Looking forward to reading more about it.
