SF says the people they are doing this to have not accepted the city’s very limited options for housing.

There was recent article (help me find it) detailing there are over over 200 SF non-profits focused on housing funded by less than 10 govt agencies.

I live in Oakland and moderate (mostly post) to the Oakland community.

I don’t recall all the details right now but… I think they tell all the people leave and then throw everything left in the trash.

Currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area and see this happening in several cities. San Francisco is the largest example. They have made building new housing a nightmare of red tape yet they are going full steam ahead with clearing out the homeless people.

While in college we considered any evening snow to mean the next day would have classes canceled. Usually wrong but we had fun.

I guess it doesn’t necessarily need to be web enabled as long as there is a way to use it in Windows and Linux.

Unfortunately I cannot help directly as I’m a cis male that has lived in NYC, LA, and SF Bay Area the last 25 years.

Even in progressive locations there are establishments that are not. I suggest trying to find places you would be comfortable in. That may be a gym, coffee shop, or bar. Make conversation and get a feel for the place.

There is a local dive bar I frequent that is very LGBTQ friendly. Last night my wife and I talked to a transsexual woman (she shared this info) for almost an hour about what happens to donated body parts. She then took off to her friend’s place.

They are called “Wireless” headphones when there is a wire connecting them. “True Wireless” means two separate earbuds.

Union trades. That’s where the money is, unfortunately for this conversation few areas have full union coverage.

I’ve worked in NYC. You can not do much in commercial buildings without union help.

I now need to root my Android and put a new OS so it stops telling Google where I am. I’m slightly afraid as I just want my phone to work when I need it.

I use FF and the desktop and don’t care about the look of the UI. I’m happy FF is fast and doesn’t have memory leaks.

Making the mobile experience better will go further with helping Mozilla in general than making the desktop UI look pretty.

If the IEEE (electrical engineering society) is saying something it must be really bad. They rarely if ever get involved in things like this.

Unfortunately, I don’t think there has been research here.

Hopefully since the start of COVID (it is not over) any new builds or upgrades will include fresh air and filters. This is already done for large gatherings of national leaders so the tech is available.
