A study that sticks in my mind is that negative comments outweigh positive comments in how they are felt by the receivers. What is perceived as balanced is a ratio of one negative comment to five positive comments. Do downvotes have the same weight as comments? IDK, but I without the feedback of comments, there isn’t much to base anything on. I get attacked in droves if I comment about anything Russian. We clearly do not see events through the same lens.

I spent a few nights in a straw bale home, wanting to experience what they were like. They are incredibly quiet. Each bale is 1.5 ft of soundproofing/insulation. The loudest part of the house was the clock ticking. The house was heated by appliances such as the refrigerator and water heater. When you are President for Life, the paths for succession and retirement are limited, and often abruptly enacted. Others will want that lifetime immunity too.

I put one of these in a Victorian which had a kitchen being brought up to code. Doors and windows cut up the kitchen wall space, leaving this as an elegant solution to have an efficient kitchen. I did have to reinforce the seams behind and at the chevron cut at the sink edge. I liked working at the sink. Dishes were easy to reach, and water did not splash when handwashing dishes, but making more room for modern appliances was nicer. If the kitchen was not destroyed in a flood, I would still have it. I liked it.

Almost. Disinformation is lying, while misinformation can be whaddaboutisms and/or a blackout of the inconvenient truths. Misinformation can include true facts, but use outliers as proof to their veracity. Misinformation can also include disinformation, but play semantics to minimize the controversies of labeling lies as the lies that they are.

Hamas continues to send missiles and hiding in areas barred from being attacked by military attacks from the rules of warfare. IDF says that they will not hold back on their counter-attacks, that the Palestinians were warned.

I see Russia attack Ukraine with the same terrorist targeting of civilian casualties as Hamas and Israel. My fear is that this is how warfare will be fought until enough carnage is inflicted that all sides see the consequences of breaking rules of engagement.

Morally, both sides (IDF and Hamas) have been bad for decades.

Many ideas here sound like the projects built, starting in the 1930s. They had many failures and a few successes.

But guns are still heavenly tools, and God works in mysterious ways. Thoughts and prayers? I hate this dystopia.

Without the “on the seventh day, he rested” adage, I would not get days off. I had this pulled on me by religious bosses to force me to give up my only day off. They rejoiced when I found God.

I will never work for religious nuts again.
