In the USA standards, $7000 is decent. That way, if you go into a big surgery or something, you’ll only have to pay a maximum of $7000 out of pocket then the insurance will pick up the rest. By the. You’d have already paid $1500 out of that $7000 if you’ve already hit your deductible. So, you’re left with $5500 for the year. You’d be able to then make monthly payment on that $5500. It’s still fucked up that we don’t have Medicare for all like the rest of the world, but that’s how it is in this so fucked up country.
