I was thinking of something similar yesterday but with scrolling to the side instead like paperWM.

Just uninstall your proprietary parent and install Linux.
Kde plasma 6
I like these brands cuz they’re like “from the rich, to the rich” kind of things. It has nothing to do with the rest of us. And we don’t understand them either, like I recently bought some nice looking shoes made in probably some Chinese factory and they’re gonna last me for years. Same thing with some branded shoes just more expensive, it’s not they last longer or anything either cuz planned obsolescence.
Just use a lot of it I guess. It’s just gonna cost them more in the long run.
Nix os has a thing like that. Personally I use an arch distrobox. I have a backup of the distrobox image container that I can put on any computer and have all the apps and settings available.
I’ve found Shotcut to be more stable than Kdenlive. Tho I haven’t tried the latest kdenlive yet. Both have glaxnimate support so motion graphics is possible with both.
How much snap you have/need. Or the stability I guess, but in my experience that hasn’t been a problem yet.
There’s file versioning available. And I haven’t had any problems with backups. I have deleted my password vault on a few occasions already. And a backup has been always available in a hidden folder.
Now THAT is stealing.

I thought it was just for servers tho?
Ctrl+alt+f3 put in your user and password and remove the window manager or install some other one until you fix it.
Unless you work in a factory and get stuck in a lathe while " working". The you don’t even need to work
Neon and Arch in a distrobox container. I’ve found the holy grail of Linux setups. Latest KDE and AUR on a stable ubuntu base.
ADHD, and Pablo Vazquez from Blender.
Also reduced pay, cuz “AI is doing all the work”. They’ll hold that over your head every time you mess up.
Didn’t mean no offence. If it works for you, great! But personally I got too into customisations and missed a lot of work which was the whole actual point, " productivity" lol. But damn did my setup look slick that week.
