PM me vegan chili recipes.
Consolidation of US media. Billionaires will burn the world down rather than cede an inch, and it’s their narratives that get amplified.
Bacon, pineapple, and jalapenos. Ambrosia my brother.
got an isbn for it? Should be on the copyright page.
Edit: 10 or 13 digit number that (should) be unique to that publication. Paste it into your search engine of choice and you be able to find either a commercial or catalog entry for it which would give you some cataloging info for it such as file size or pagination to compare. Also I think that series is pretty popular and would be available as an ebook from you local library (if you are US) getting the card is really easy. Would recommend libraries 10/10. Libby charges libraries too much to use, but it’s totally free for the patron and super convenient to use.
Somebody worked out that hunter/gatherers only averaged 4-5 hrs of work a day. I think I’m pulling this from a recent episode of ‘No Such Thing as a Fish’
I know some people in nuclear power and get in arguments with them all the time about this. (they’re not big fans of renewables. shocker.) But they’re right that renewables just aren’t ready to take over yet. Where I’d say we need to fund renewable research and development—they are deadset it’s a waste of money. But fossil fuels have got to go. I think it’d be for the best if no one was ever comfortable with nuclear but I just don’t see another alternative that works with how quickly we are killing the planet. 🤷♂️
It’s not as toxic as coal. It is only that you are used to those effects. It’s also a safer industry to work in. Technically safer even than wind and solar last I looked. I wouldn’t treat it as a permanent solution. But it could keep the lights on while we pivot to renewables.
nah, wet food is better. If cats don’t get enough water they can get crystals in their urinary system. Very painful and can create blockages at are fatal. If your cat is ever straining in the litterbox and not producing it’s an instant emergency vet.
On the human rights. Now cut the shit. Cognitive empathy is a learned skill one can practice. Try.
No Such Thing as a Fish - It’s light and comedic, each presenter explains a little known bizarre or extraordinary fact and the others riff off from it. There’s no specific discipline of study it follows, and it doesn’t do any deep dives, but it’s fun to listen to while doing the dishes.
…We also sometimes eat other people when shit hits the fan. 🙁.
Yeah, was listening to BBC this morning -Tim Franks interviewing Israeli intelligence about allowing fuel through to get water pumps going again. It was very clear the answer was no, but they refused to say so directly. The interviewee became hostile and kept going on about how hamas uses these people as human shields. … Is the west supposed to think dying of thirst the more humanitarian option? Is that what they’re going for? jfc
For peace of mind just avoid Stefanik’s district, some people call it Cantucky for a reason. 🥲.
Ya’ll do make a lovely casserole.
Thank you! It’s always interesting to listen to professionals in a field use technical language. 😃
Crash Landing on You (2019) has like every single romantic comedy trope and it was still fun. Kingdom (2019) was also good. It was a fresh take on zombies and suspenseful, but season 2 left on a cliffhanger and season 3 is in limbo.
edit: I forgot Mad for Each Other (2021)! Another mostly romantic comedy about a guy with anger issues and woman with paranoid delusions as neighbors. It’s quirky and quick paced. (tho TW for past domestic abuse.)
I’d also recommend a recentish book about him and Lincoln called The Zealot and the Emancipator in case anyone wants some light reading. The politics around Bleeding Kansas feels relevant to the US today.
John Brown did nothing wrong. (except maybe a bit tactically at the end.)
