Welp… Gnome will lost many of their contributor/maintainer… Well, at least KDE folks is backed by Novell(SUSE) and XFCE is purely maintained by community already. It seems Linux desktop is still safe. lol
a passerby who want less latency… :)

maybe exploding-heads.com? is that site still around?
I only know that on Lemmyverse, most of conservatives happily stays on reddit given most committed progressives migrated here. Or may be they go to squabblr, its owner says they are welcomed there.
There are many though, on mastodon-verse if you like twitter-esque experience. There are enough users and instances to hold meaningful conversations.
Mostly. There are one or two niche subs that doesn’t exist here, so I keep using reddit for that. Overall I’m happy with fediverse, both on twitter-like and reddit-like platforms.
Linux Mint & ArchLinux
Gundam and any kind of war-esque anime is tied to politics.
I once run it in VM on my workplace’s old pc with just 1.5GB RAM allocated to it. It runs great, can federate well and has low memory usage even when replying to popular guy on mastodon.social.
The server pc died tho, as well as the domain it uses. I never rebuild it.
I got a Karmic Koala (ubuntu 09.10) CD from my friend kn my high school days, I install it on my Pentium 4 PC then freaked out because there are no codec and I can’t install it because I have no Internet at all, lol. Going back to windows until I have Laptop on my second year of uni. I still needs to use my uni’s wifi to install any apps, but it is workable and I use Linux almost exclusively since then. (sometimes dual boot-ing if there are Lecture that needs me to use windows.)
I have 4, one in kbin, one in world, one in shit, and this one… :D
Mostly VSCodium and Sublime-texr
okay… I just want to voice my opinion… 😅
Then, may be we can start talking about Meta’s Thread…😅😅
Communities has too many sillaby, may be comm or comi is better…
I actually like kbin term, they use term Magazine for community. It can easily shortened as Magz.
At some point, it’s expected that Meta will enable federation for Threads. For the rest of the Fediverse, it’ll be drinking from the metaphorical firehose. There will have been this culture that was built and backed by Meta, and for those people there will be no change other than the gates being open. They won’t have learned to use content warnings/headings, they won’t have learned how to interact with other servers, the etiquette just likely won’t be there, and why should they adapt to what the rest of the Fediverse is doing? They don’t value it in the same way we do.
A valid concern that I missed, thanks for bringing this up.
Hmm… I am very conflicted on this matter, I want fediverse to prosper and replace mainstream social media. But on the other hand I also want fediverse to keep its chill and relaxed community that I can hang around. I also don’t want for fediverse to become toxic because disagreement on how to treat meta. I saw some admins gets harrased just because they plan to federate with meta. It saddens me and I worried that many instance will dissapear because admins can’t stand with that kind of harrasment then proceed to shutdown their instance like mastodon.online ones.
Reddit topic is dead… now it is about meta invading fediverse… 😅
Hyprland ftw!
Whoa, the amount of downvotes is staggering. I agree with you that it doesn’t feel right to see many instance admins defederates with thread from the start. EEE is a threat, but fediverse is already has known by normies as mastodon and has strong culture behind it. I think fediverse will live as usual even when meta decided to stop federating.
Fixed 3 minutes ago… cool!
Mobile Legends Bang Bang, a mobile-based LoL ripoff thats very popular in South East Asia. It is very catered to newbie and low skilled players, most items sold as gatchas, and has severe skill-imbalance in matchmaking (many suspect they will pair you with low-skilled low-winrate players if you win too much, giving birth to many grievance from good solo players).
Alas, with my rl responsibilities, I can’t play more serious moba like Dota2 anymore. The only way to satisfy my crave for moba is by playing MLBB as most matches only take 12 to 20 minutes to finish. I can cram it to my commute time or break time.
Oh, sorry… I thought they are one from the start… thx for correcting me.
