I would definitely recommend using guix home because having a seperate config for you more user facing stuff is so convenient (plus no need for root access to install a package declaratively) (side note take this with a grain of salt because I don’t use gnu guix I use nixos)

Hi I tried your app recently, the main issue that I had was that it had a tendency to drop messages, also the uploading a profile doesn’t currently seem to work (on mobile Firefox at least).

But anyways I love the application concept and it seems like you have made some pretty good progress.

P.s. what is the crypto signature box that you can just draw in?

(Also I think you could probably fit the offline connection into one QR code if you really wanted to (117x117 but still))

Yeah it’s been awhile since I looked at it but when I was managing my config for it with home manager it would straight up refuse to start.

Well not everything is packaged and when they aren’t it Can get more complicated to install since nixos doesn’t use the default file system layout. Another thing is that certain programs have assumptions about being able to do certain things like changing their own config files that don’t work well with the nixos way of doing things. (Looking at you fish(it works but you can’t manage your configuration for it(pretty sure?)with nix))
