It’s nice to see the gaming industry embracing more realistic body shapes.

I think that’s the ideal outcome. If they’re caught they shouldn’t be let off scot free (because, like, murder is bad) but it’d be such a fucking circus of excessive punishment.
If they’re never caught then we can keep it in a moral grey zone.
Of course, they will be caught because I’ve already dutifully contacted my local FBI branch and confirmed that the woman in the photograph is the CEO of Elevance Health.
What?
And by a publisher we had such deep faith in after the glorious launch that New World had?!
Keep calm, the first time I doubled up I was so stressed about blood pressure that my freaking out spiked my blood pressure (I’m on methylphenidate, myself). Doubling prescriptions is never good but, aside EoL oncology meds, dosages are usually set to never be close to the range for immediate toxicity.
Your head might be funny feeling today but you can make it through.
I think that’s a fair statement and if you find that line a reasonable one to draw I support you drawing it. Objectively, though, I think the harm we cause through consuming goods manufactured through forced labor is much more impactful.
I dance where I work. I have a standing desk and dance to music to focus on brainy tasks.
We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind. Because your friends don’t dance and if they don’t dance, well, they’re no friends of mine.
The stock market is so detached from reality that the impact you’re having is nearly nil. You’re much more directly supporting forced labor and incarceration when you buy a t-shirt, Chinese garlic, register your car, eat pretty much any fast food, enjoy chocolate, or do literally anything connected to Walmart.
My point in the comment above is that Divestment (outside of retail investment) has almost no impact. If you live in America you’re already evil as fuck and profiting from the misery of millions. The stocks you own are some of the least evil shit you’re doing.
I don’t think so - the stock market is extremely detached from fundraising in the modern world and if that company decided to fundraise it’ll mostly do so on the back of mutual funds and uni endowments.
I personally find divestment is a pretty ineffective personal action in terms of individuals.
It wasn’t, I think PHP is legitimately an excellent language for readability and expressiveness.
C++ is pretty awesome but anyone who thinks a single language is the solution to all problems is dumb… unless you’re smart enough to realize that the one language to rule them all is PHP of course!
I think you misread their response. It’d be similar to ask “How long does a timeout last” - it depends on the time affixed to the state - timeouts have no inherently defined length.
I think ban
in the tech world was originally understood to be permanent - but in the real world ban has always had the flexibility to have an assigned term. As the internet has grown it seems that ban is gradually returning to being non-permanent though a lot of systems will still differentiate between a ban (permanent) and a suspension (temporary) - though, again, there are instances I’ve seen of “Account permanently Suspended.”
I agree and in most services a temporary restriction of an account is called a suspension (though colloquially terms like “3 day ban” have become common).
Banning usually involves deleting or locking the user out of the account in an irrevocable manner.
That’s a hard thing to say. I traveled in countries I couldn’t speak the language of before smart phones existed and it was a struggle of paper maps and relying on hospitality workers, guides, and locals who I could speak with as well as phrase dictionaries. It was a struggle and you’d have to be very careful about going off the beaten path.
With a phone I can just walk in a direction I choose, ask locals questions in the local language, and feel confident that if I got myself in a shitty situation I’d be able to sort it out.
They’re a spammer - they wanted to post it to every community.
It absolutely is - I love just the tomatoes mayo and salt, but cheese does go well with it!
Tuna salad with sour is criminally underrated. When I make tunamelts I include a healthy dollop of sauerkraut and it adds quite a lot to the taste.
Honestly - acid is generally underused in home cooking. There’s a reason nearly every dish restaurants make has lemon juice or vinegar on it.
Sliced bread - plain white is optimal - toasted.
Apply a liberal amount of mayonnaise.
Layer on sliced tomatoes - salt them each on both sides as you do so.
Close sandwich.
Eat.
It honestly is. Pre-release hype is just marketing and we tend to enjoy things more if we don’t have high expectations coming in.
The last war that didn’t use any tech was fought entirely with bare hands.
You’re not using enough nuke.
