And looking for some good low latency servers to play (CS at the time for me) before even opening the game…only to have to choose 150-200 ping ones with the fun mods I wanted to play and be booted from them from for having high ping 🤣

Damn, I’ve been on steam for over 20 years…and I thought maybe like 15 tops. Now I feel old 😑
Is this a GP you talked to or dermatologist? I talked to about 4 different GPs/doctors over 2 years regarding spots which they all though were fungal infection before finally getting referral for dermatologist who was like nah it ain’t that, don’t waste time on steroid based cream and prescribed something else that worked.
Imagine if they could one day get the whole EU to agree on something like this…and to even use the software! 😵

Shame AO wasn’t there, probably not Eve level but also more enjoyable
What would you say if they had a big party with a lot of PR/marketing behind it;
“they’re wasting all this money to have fun instead of making the product better”?
Lol yea, I forgot what timeline we’re living in
As lucrative as Valve and Steam may seem to buy, even for 10x that amount, any analyst who is realistic about suggesting the purchase to another company would know that it isn’t worth it. Not that it’s a bad buy, but whoever can afford to buy it likely could not help themselves but fuck it up and run the whole operation to the ground.
This is probably one of your better bets and you’ll learn far more than Lemmy currently has to offer, unless one of those production people who have worked in the industry (like my former colleagues) ends up seeing this.
I know some general stuff, as my work involved having operational knowledge, but not enough to give advice that you’re looking for.
Does seem to work in Firefox focus for me on latest android, though I admit I didn’t bother trying regular ff.as I can’t be arsed to whitelist yt stuff in NoScript even temporarily
Dethklok seems pretty safe.
There isn’t all that much out there about Brendon Small though and what I could find he should be a decent enough person…plus I liked Metalocalypse quite a bit, so that helps me 😁
Dunno much about Bryan Beller, Nili Brosh or Gene Hoglan, just saw a few random videos with them so hard to gauge.
Who needs glue, if you’re hellbent on keeping it, stick the plastic back in and figure out a good place to put a screw/nail through and file it down if it goes out the other end.
If it breaks again you’ll most likely be forced to completely replace it though, which is a good thing as it will mean didn’t deserve the second life you’ve given it.
That’s why you need some nice smoked ham or honey roast or similar…agree though, most places just use most bland crap they can find cheap
I used my Google rewards credit to remove ads in Sync, because I ain’t paying for that shit and they would have expired anyway.
As long as you go out every now and then (to shops or next to shops) and consistently answer the rewards stuff (doesn’t need to be true it seems, just consistent) then you’ll eventually be in the same boat as me and probably many others where you’ll eventually have nothing to spend the rewards on as you’ll have bought all the apps you need and will ditch the rewards in the end.
More of a generic answer as I don’t know the situation there, so hopefully someone local will come around and chime in.
Unfortunately we live in a world where it doesn’t take much money for the movie/music industry corporations to sway the politicians in any country.
So what may be legal today, could very well not be a week, month or year from now and you’d want to stay on top of news like that.
As a general rule of thumb, I’d suggest using a solid VPN, if you’re uncertain about the consequences. I switched Mullvad (would I recommend it? Sure, but only if you’re ready to actually pay for it) and used to use Nordvpn (it’s ok, seems to have become bloated, but sometimes with cashback deals it’s essentially free) and there are plenty more out there depending on your level of comfort in quality of service they actually provide.
Now if someone can confirm what the situation is actually like, it could be anything from “I’m gonna need a n-th NAS with xxx TB capacity to seed all this” through “oh no, another email from my ISP, I need to setup a filter to send these to trash directly” to “who’s that knocking on my door at this time of the day”. In the end it all comes down to your appetite for risk.
