Feeling inspired, I set out to push the limits of recursive emulation myself. My first step was getting a Linux emulator running inside Minecraft. Yes, you heard me right - Linux running inside Minecraft. Once I had achieved that, the natural progression was to install Yuzu on this virtual version of Linux. It took some trial and error, but eventually, I managed to do just that.

At this point, I could hardly contain my excitement. The results were impressive; the performance increase was noticeable compared to previous iterations. But for me, that wasn’t enough. I wanted more. So, in true recursion fashion, I installed another Linux emulator within this Minecraft-embedded Yuzu environment. This new iteration had its own Yuzu setup, and thus the cycle continued.

As layers upon layers of nested Linux environments grew, the performance kept improving exponentially. Every time I upgraded the recursion level, the FPS went through the roof. Eventually, it reached unbelievable heights. Today, with multiple levels of recursion, I am proud to announce that the performance of this nestled setup is now over 9000 FPS!

This is what happens when your ideas are so fragile they can’t withstand a discussion. People used to welcome debate / opposing ideas. Now it’s seen as “triggering” and must be suppressed. This is how we end up with nerfed echo chambers. It’s very intellectually stunting. Personally, I find it boring to only be in rooms where everyone agrees all the time.

  • Using “diversity” or “inclusive” as a bad word.

Using 88 without reason (or 1488).

There’s also people using the term “Monday” to refer to black people. (So they can say “I hate Mondays” and stuff without it being immediately obvious).

“Those [kinds of] people” is another pretty transparent one.

In Canada, there was “traditional Anglo-Saxon words”, lol

None of these seem apolitical to me. I would associate most of these with right wing philosophies. I was specifically looking for examples of apolitical dog-whistles.

One thing that shouldn’t be ignored is most UBI proposals remove the current means-based welfare in the USA. So, as many people go on the UBI list, many others would disappear off the welfare lists, which means there probably wouldn’t be as much disruption as you are expecting. If the UBI is implemented as a negative income tax, some people’s net may change even less.

Whenever I see posts like this, I wonder about the benchmark being set.

I don’t know what OP wants… a weekly news story: “VEGAS SHOOTING STILL NOT SOLVED, NEWSPAPER EDITORS SEEK ALTERNATE HEADLINES”

DB Cooper was one of the most mysterious hijackers of all time. Still no motive, why don’t we hear about it more often?

Zodiac killer, active for years on the West Coast. No known motive… why don’t we hear about it? Why does no one mention it?

Jack the Ripper, killed women brutally, unsolved, no known motive. Why isn’t he mentioned more often?

This line of thinking drives me crazy. Our current news ecosystem thrives off cheap clickbait and manufactured outrage. Barring some radical new information, they won’t get that out of the Vegas shooting, hence it doesn’t make headlines routinely.
