I hate windows but AD works pretty well and integrates with a lot of SSO functionality easily. Modern IAM tools should fix any of the locked out / just fired users issues you speak of… by using AD.

Modern IAM tools should fix any of the locked out / just fired users issues you speak of… by using AD.
