but not on her, just in the game you convinced her to play with you.

if I ever start a multibillion dollar company, I am totally going to name the road [Company] St, with the address being 123.
Just so everyone thinks the HQ address is fake.
7 was a great and brilliant game, with an enormous world and an incredible story… It certainly deserves a lot of hype for what it did and achieved, but I also think its telling that instead of just giving it a graphical update and releasing it for modern systems, Square is doing…whatever horrid shit they are doing with the remake thats basically killed it for me forever.
8 did a lot different. Not just different from 7, but also different from Final Fantasy in general. I think thats why it doesnt have as much love, that, and it it had the misfortune of having to follow 7. But I think that chance it took is what makes it special. Genuinely special.
Unfortunately a lot of people didnt seem to think so, which made Square go back to the classic airship fantasy world that most other final fantasy games used with FF9. They started taking chances again with 10, which was more well received and really blew open the flood gates
Its incredible that you managed to pull that off, though, lol. I wouldnt have. then again, I’m the obsessive hoarder “I cant use this, what if I’ll need it later?!” type.
I think games were great cause the limits they were made in. Limitations that are long gone, and games suffer as a result.
FF8 was such an underappreciated title. I think the negative backlash that it got really did a disservice to the entire franchise. . Which is a shame, cause it stands, to this day, as my favorite Final Fantasy.
The SNES and the PS1 were like, the epicenter of amazing, mind blowing RPG games.
you sure want to give a lot of faith to a shitty company that hates its customers.
Illusion of Gaia is one of those games that holds a magical place in my heart, so much so that just hearing or thinking of the name…even all these years later, still gives me goosebumps.
Such a fantastic game. and such a fantastic story
We use words seriously, to convey facts and and truths.
They use words as toys to infuriate and offend, all the while taking amusement from the collective effort to stop their disinformation and lies.
Nothing like TSA level security.
I never understood the purpose of this.
Unless you are REAL stupid levels of lucky to have one of the mandatory password changes the day after a compromise that you werent aware of, all mandatory regular password changes do is make people use less secure passwords.
Hes a dancing monkey that brings in tons of ratings, viewership, and revenue.
So media has a vested financial interest in giving him tons of coverage, especially soft coverage, to get eyes on products. Its also why they have a vested interest in his winning, and are doing everything they can (including a mass hysterical hallucination that Biden was somehow old and incompetent due to having jet lag after a whirlwind 3 day international political trip) to ensure trump remains favorable in the eyes of people who wouldnt vote for him if they got the 100% unfiltered coverage about him.
Thats the biggest issue.
There are other issues, of course, helping this along (and benefiting from the above mentioned media bias) are things like the fact that he is a foreign puppet being manipulated by Putin mostly, and by others less so. Which is why they, especially russia, has invested so much money into the NRA, Republican Packs, and most recently, internet jackwads that balding beanie wearing fuckstick and his ilk. To have a chorus of mouth pieces pushing false news and pro-russian narratives, to undermine our democracy and reduce to outright eliminate our presence on the global stage as a bulwark against countries like Russia.
You also have petty powermongers at home that are sounding his call for dictatorial power so they can get their own petty feifdoms.
And the billionaire conservatives who want the world to be a festering cesspit of poverty so they can sleep on their mountains of gold… and are using the media they control to further their goals, by lifting trump up and knocking everyone else down.
and finally, you have the lowest strata, his voters, Most of which vote for him because they want their women to be property, and their non-white neighbors to be property too. and they don’t care how deep into hell everything goes as long as they can be racist twats who don’t have to self censor and are free of repercussions for their twattery.
Theres more minutae to it, and several other layers and strata, but this is kinda the general broad strokes.
Seriously.
It sounds like a fucking nightmare. Imagine working on something for days and it refuses to work cause you accidentally capitalized 1 file name and dont notice it?
That sounds like the kind of shit they’d do in tech hell.
45 dollars for pokemon blue is a fucking ripoff.
I don’t care if its the cheapest of the rip offs, its still a ripoff.
its a 30 year old goddamn game ffs. I’d consider it over priced at 10 bucks, especially considering how many were sold and out there.
Don’t underestimate how much resentment and anger a privileged people can develop when they don’t get every. single. thing. they think they are entitled to.
If they are into gaming, Nobara is basically the best, no headache choice.
thats globally, though, in America its only about half that.
None of the garbage companies want to spend money processing/seperating plastics, Doesnt matter how much you ramp up recycling plants if the plastic gets diverted to the dump/incinerators instead cause its cheaper/less cost for the waste company.
Especially with how cheap plastic is to make from scratch.
I am also in the ender boat.
95% of my problems went away when I took the thing completely apart (like, further apart than what it comes in the box), and rebuilt it from scratch, making sure every bolt was tight, every moving part was free, corners perfectly cornered, etc.
I think it had just enough factory misalignment and loseness in a few key areas that compounded to cause me tons of headaches.
That, plus a few cheap upgrades (steel bed and better bed springs) really erased almost all the mechanical issues.
financially worth it?
Probably not.
Did it give me brief respites of light against the clawing, ever encroaching abyssal darkness of life and misery?
Yes.
What brand? In my experience Linux is very persnickety about USB Wifi/Bluetooth adapters.
When I was buying mine a couple years back I had several failures before finding some kind of master list of supported devices.
I dont have the list anymore, but everything I bought was TP-Link cause TP-Link appeared very frequently in the list from what i recall.
