I think the only thing to do now is help at a local level. Washington’s fucked, nothing you can do to change that. What I am planning to do: (1) be kind to my family, especially my wife; (2) donate to the school and food pantries; (3) just fucking cope. Work on my hobbies, exercise, just… one foot in front of the other. Endure.

Oh: and I’m thinking about buying a gun and learning to shoot. Seriously.

There are some states that feed kids as a matter of routine state budgeting. Those kids get a lunch paid for by taxpayers. A damn fine investment of tax dollars, if you ask me.
